Every student who declares the CS Major is assigned two advisors:
- An Academic Advisor: Paige Normand, the Departmental Advisor to all CS students
- A Faculty Advisor: a professor in the department who is available to answer more content-specific questions
Reach out to Paige Normand if:
You have logistical questions about the CS curriculum like:
- Am I on track to graduate on time?
- What classes do I need to sign up for next semester?
- What should I do to improve my GPA?
You have policy questions about the CS Major/Minor like:
- How do I change my Catalog Year?
- How do I decide if I want to take a course “Repeat Forgive”?
- How can I take summer classes at my local Community College?
You have questions or concerns about your college success, like:
- How can I improve my time management?
- Where can I get help with my [insert GenEd Course here]?
- I'm feeling really unmotivated about my course work, what should I do?
- I'm a freshmen interested in Cyber Security, what should I be doing?
You are always welcome to book a meeting with Paige Normand.
Your Faculty Advisor is a resource for questions like:
- Discussing future career paths
