KDiff3 “compares or merges two or three text input files or directories”.
KDiff3 indicates the “Line end style” being used just below the file name (on the right side). This can be very useful when comparing files created under different operating systems.
You can instruct KDiff3 whether to ignore or consider numbers, comments, and case.To do so, click on Settings-Configure-Diff then select/deselect the appropriate checkboxes.
When comparing two files, it can sometimes be very difficult to see differences in “white space” (e.g., spaces and tabs). KDiff3 lets you insert visible representations of white space. To do so, click on Diffview then select/deselect the appropriate checkboxes.
